The situation with respect to Covid-19 virus is developing rapidly. The following guidance will be reviewed regularly in light of this.
Anyone with new onset cough, high temperature or loss of smell/taste should self isolate for 10 days from the start of symptoms and obtain a Coronavirus test. All other members living in the same household should self isolate for 14 days. We would be grateful to those who have mild symptoms to try to obtain advice on symptom management and self-isolation online by accessing the attached link: NHS Inform. Testing can also be arranged through this link.
If your symptoms are severe or last longer than 7 days then you should contact the Covid-19 assessment hub on 111 by telephone. If symptoms are severe, you should contact 999. You MUST NOT walk into the surgery or the pharmacy.
Many GP consultations will now be over the telephone or by video link.
